Industrial Welder course is aimed at providing job oriented training to students in Welding, and flame Cutting. It will provide training to use hand-welding or flame – cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations or seams of fabricated metal products. The Industrial Welder course shall cover the following major topics: Principles of Occupational Health and Safety in the Work Environment, Performing Engineering Measurements, Cutting Work Piece, Using Powered Saws, Hand Shears, or Chipping Knife, Lay out, Positions, and Securing Parts and Assemblies according to Specifications, Making and Inspection of grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using Micro Meter, Calliper, and Precision Measuring Instruments, Welding using Manual Metal Arc Welding / Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Safe and Secure Environment, Safety aspects in Handling CNG including emergency, Manually (semi- automatic) welding joints using the MIG/MAG, Cleanliness around the workplace, Good Personal Hygiene and Practices, Precautionary Health Measures, Performing Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Welding also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Engaging with customers to understand their service quality requirements, fulfilling customer requirements to achieve customer satisfaction, adherence to service and safety guidelines at all times. Apart from the above topics, the course shall import training in Soft Skills and cover behavioural aspects like working effectively in Team, Behaviour Based Safety Practices and Basic Computer Operations, etc.
