WELCOME TO SKILL DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE (SDI) RAEBARELI

National Skill Development Mission launched by Hon’ble Prime Minster of India Shri Narendra Modi aims to empower the youth of the country with improved skill and knowledge to enhance their employability. To meet this requirement, PSUs under Ministry of petroleum & Natural Gas have set up Skill Development Institutes in various states impart vocational training to the Trainees.

SDI Society, Raebareli promoted by public Sector Oil computers namely Bharat Petroleum corporation Ltd (BPCL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), GAIL India Ltd (GAIL), India Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), Oil India Ltd. (OIL), Engineers Skill Development Institute (SDI) at Raebareli, UP. It is being managed by GAIL.

The temporary campus of SDI, Raebareli has been started functioning from November 2017. SDI Raebareli has State-of-Art facilities like smart class rooms, well equipped workshops, modern training equipped library, conference room, recreation facilities, boarding and lodging facilities for all trainees.

HIGHLIGHTS

·         SDI, Raebareli started operations by launch of its first course Pipe Fitter (City Gas Distribution) of 3-months duration in November 2017.

·         The Second course Pipe Fitter (Oil & Gas) of 3-months duration was launched in March 2018.

·         The third course Industrial Welder (Oil & Gas) of 6-months duration was launched in April 2018.

·         The fourth course Process Instrument Operator of 6-months duration was launched in November 2018.

·         The fifth course of Industrial Electrician (Oil & Gas) of 6-months duration was launched in July 2019.

·         The sixth course of Domestic Data Entry Operator of 3 months duration was launched in October 2021.

·         All these courses are aligned to the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) of Government of India with affiliation to Hydrocarbon sector Skill Council.

·         All the trainees of all previous batches have been trained and placed in various organizations across India.

·         SDI, Raebareli has State-of-Art workshops equipped with high quality welding equipment, an innovative augmented reality training solutions (welding simulator) workstation imported from Seabury solution, Spain, Which will.

·         Enhance and improve manual welding skills, Bench drilling machine, Power hacksaw cutting machine, well equipped Instrumentation lab with level, Pressure & Temperature measuring workstations, Pneumatic & Hydraulic workstations, well equipped Electrical lab with Basic electrical training kit, Industrial wiring workstations, PLC S7-1200 workstation, Motor Generator (AC to DC, DC to AC) sets, etc..

·         The programme is being run in association with SmartBrains Engineers & Technologist Pvt. Ltd. since 16 Nov 2023.

·         Courses are designed to meet current industry requirements.

·         World class facilities are being provided for hands-on practical training.

·         Faculty from industry having 8-15 years’ experience.

·         The programmer is fully residential.

·         Placement assistance is being provided to all qualified trainees

·     The courses also include training in soft skill and cover behavioural aspects like working effectively in Team, behavior-based safety practices, basic computer operations, etc.
